This was my lunch today… but clearly it’s not the lunch you’re looking at. It’s that view!
If you’re ever in central California, and happen to find yourself cruising along Highway 1 along the coast near Big Sur, you must must must stop at Nepenthe, one of my favorite places in the world. Not only is the food tasty tasty, but the views…. man oh man the views; they are incredible (I wrote up a little bit about it a while back in the “Good Eats…” blurb in the side bar). You sit there, munching on whatever deliciousness you order to snack or sip on, staring over some of the most extraordinary coastline in the world. Well worth a pit-stop if you’re near… it’s right between Julia Pfieffer Burns State Park and Fernwood Campground for those who don’t know. I get down there as much as I can… and it’s a treat still!
